Welcome to the Lufkin Host Lions website!
Lufkin Host was chartered in 1920 and is proud of its
storied history. With over 250 members and home to five
past District Governors, one Council Chairman, seven
Melvin Jones fellows, Lufkin Host has continued to be a
strong dynamic organization.
Our service projects include the Angelina Benefit Rodeo,
the Z&OO Railroad and Pineywoods Purgatory Bike Ride.

by using the menu above. Along with these long standing
events, the Lions Host Club is always ready and willing
to serve when called upon. You are encouraged to explore
our site and see how we put into action our motto, “We
Serve”.
The
17th Annual Pineywoods Purgatory , East Texas' premier
cycling event, will be held Saturday, October 4, in
Lufkin and the surrounding countryside. The event
will start from
the Pitser Garrison Civic Center, and follow miles of
rolling hills and thickly wooded forests. The event
offeresfour rides ranging from 25 to 102 miles through
the heart of the Texas Forest Country. This year's
event will the best to date!

President Chris Moss presents Don Lymbery
with the
Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.

Don Lymbery received the Melvin Jones
Fellowship Award at the September 23 meeting of the
Lufkin Host Lions Club. The Melvin Jones
Fellowship award is the highest recognition that you can
receive from the LCIF. Don has been in the club
for 26 years with 26 years of perfect attendance.
He has served on a number of boards and is also
volunteering within the club and also in our community.
