by using the menu above. Along with these long standing
events, the Lions Host Club is always ready and willing
to serve when called upon. You are encouraged to explore
our site and see how we put into action our motto, “We
Serve”.
The
16th Annual Pineywoods Purgatory , East Texas' premier
cycling event, was held Saturday, October 6, in Lufkin
and the surrounding countryside. The event started from
the Pitser Garrison Civic Center, and followed miles of
rolling hills and thickly wooded forests. The event
offered four rides ranging from 25 to 102 miles through
the heart of the Texas Forest Country. This year's
event was the best to date!

Lions Club Annual Chili Cook Off
The Lions Club
annual
chili cook off was held in February.
Nineteen teams, composed of Lions Club
members, competed to see who could cook the best chili.
Local Judges and city officials were begged to come
judge the event. After much fun and tired taste
buds the winners were determined. First place went
to J. McCleskey's Team. Second, went to D. Moore's
team and third went to T. McCleskey's team. DFL
(Dead Frigin' Last) was awarded to J. Hancock and
G. Bowman. Many
thanks to our members who organized the event.
